Our group meets weekly in season to explore selected Bible passages, discuss the meaning of the passages, and compare that understanding to our lifetime experiences (as individuals, family members and people involved in business or professional activities). We come with modest or little Bible knowledge and with a variety of faith-based experiences, but with an interest in learning and sharing. We select a Bible passage, book, or pamphlet that discusses a Bible passage, ask questions to spark conversation, and then invest an hour in sharing our understanding and learning from each other.
Men are conditioned in our society to withhold emotion, speak from the head vs. from the heart, and evidence strength vs. weakness. Our group breaks this all down. In discussing our own personal experiences, we speak from the heart, share emotional histories and learn Christian growth together.
